Welcome to the Turner County School District website. I hope that this site will serve to provide you with an important link to our school system, its employees, and the resources we offer. It is our desire to make this site a valuable source of information for our teachers, students, parents, and community. The Turner County School District has been a leader in implementing technology and school improvement initiatives in Georgia for many years. We strive to continue this leadership role today, by providing our administrators, teachers, staff, and students with access to the most effective resources available and providing the necessary training to allow them to take full advantage of these available resources. This website is part of our school improvement effort.

The Turner County Board of Education is committed to providing the highest quality educational experience possible to Turner County's most valuable resource, its children. We welcome your input into this process. Please feel free to contact me, or other school personnel via email or phone to discuss your ideas or concerns regarding the school system and the services we provide. I know that working together, we can insure that Turner County's children are provided the best instruction, by the best teaching faculty in the safest environment possible. They deserve no less.

Turner County School System recognizes the Distinguished Service Award Recipients for the month of March 2017, Mrs. Danette Perry and Mrs. Alice Nelson.

  Danette Perry

This award nomination was made by a staff member and here is what they had to say:

In addition to her regular duties, Ms. Perry has volunteered her time to assist each teacher at Pre-K in any way that is needed.  She changed her schedule to assist a new teacher and has been a great mentor to her.

Mrs.. Perry not only works with the SDD students but will assist other students in need as well.  She volunteered to organize the Pre-K Grits with Grandparents event and it was fantastic.

Mrs.. Perry is truly a team player.  She steps up and does what is needed to get the job done.  She places the students and their education at the top of her chart.  She is eager and willing to please.

Mrs. Danette Perry, Pre-K Special Education Teacher

Alice Nelson

This award nomination was made by a staff member and here is what they had to say:

Mrs. Nelson is a very hard working and big hearted person.  She goes above and beyond her daily required responsibilities.

Everything Ms. Nelson does is to benefit others.  She does a lot of “behind the scene” things that aren’t always noticed. Ms. Nelson definitely deserves this award.

Mrs. Alice Nelson, Title I Parent Involvement, Turner County Schools
